Hickory
is one of the oldest species in North America and is regarded as this country's hardest, heaviest and strongest
wood. Its sapwood tends to be white in color and is tinged with fine brown lines. Heartwood is pale to reddish
brown.
It
is used in a number of interior applications where strength and durability are important. It is often used for restaurant
tables which are subject to above average wear and tear.
Perfect Plank Hickory is made from full-length pieces of 1 7/8" boards that vary in width from three to seven inches.
One face is of furniture quality, sanded with 120 grit paper. Reverse
side may contain defects and is sanded with 80 grit paper.
