Perfect
Plank Co. has been manufacturing kitchen counter tops, islands, table tops, sign blanks and other butcher block products for more
than 50 years. We offer a full range of sizes in Alder, Maple, Mahogany, Sugar Pine, Jelutong and Western Red Cedar.
Our products
are suitable for all domestic and commercial uses. We can manufacture a single maple butcher block counter top or island
for your kitchen, or we can produce 100 maple or mahogany table tops for your rustic Italian restaurant.
We specialize in rapid delivery: Orders received on Monday ordinarily will ship on Friday of that same week. If there is anybody
in the industry with lower prices or quicker delivery, we haven't found them.
Most
Perfect Plank is manufactured in the standard butcher block format with narrow laminations (1.3" to 1.7"). This includes
counter tops, table tops, islands and sign blanks. We also offer Knotty Pine, Hickory, and Mahogany table tops and counter
tops with wider laminations (3" to 5"). (These are made from full-length strips; that is, NO finger-joints).
In
addition to the standard butcher block counter tops and table tops, Perfect Plank can also be used for paneling, cabinet parts,
stair treads, and flooring.
Within certain limits we try to
promise: ANY THICKNESS (up to 3 1/2"), ANY WIDTH (up to 60"), and ANY LENGTH (up to 16 feet).

MAPLE--Standard Butcher Block with 1.3" laminations. Made from 10" to 24" pieces of Pacific Coast Maple, finger-jointed
end-to-end to make strips of desired length. Avilable in any thickness from 3/4" to 3 1/2" Widths to 72". Lengths to 16 ft.
Appropriate for counter tops, table tops, restaurant tables, islands and bars.

MAPLE WILDWOOD. A lower grade product available in limited quantities. Standard butcher block with 1.3" laminations. Available in
thicknesses of 7/8", 1 3/8" and 1 7/8". Lengths to 10 feet in some thicknesses. Designed for work bench tops and
other lower quality usages, such as shelving and garage components. Often used for rustic restaurant tops.

HARD ROCK MAPLE. Although the standard maple is quite acceptable for virtually all domestic applications, some customers prefer to
use Hard Rock Maple. It is particularly recommended for industrial uses, such as in bakeries or butcher shops.
This material orginates in the Appalachian areas of New York and Pennsylvania and has a greater density than the standard
maple. Available in thicknesses of 1 3/8" and 1 7/8". Lengths to 12 feet.

ALDER. Although alder sells for less than maple, most woodworkers and furniture makers consider it a
superior species. lt is more machinable than maple and is highly prized for its ability to accept a variety
of stains. With the proper stain, alder can be used as a substitute for cherry, mahogany, walnut and other domestic
species. Alder grows in the same forests as maple and is similar in apperance, texture and density. Standard butcher
block with 1.3" or 1.7" laminations. Available in thicknesses of 7/8", 1 3/8" and 1 7/8".

ALDER SELECT. (NO FINGER-JOINTS!) In
response to many requests, the Perfect Plank Co. is now offering alder plank made with full-length, clear strips.
The material is available only in the thickness of 1 7/8" and only in four lengths (3 ft, 4 ft, 6 ft, and 8 ft). The
strips used in this product vary in width from 1" to 3". As noted, alder is an extremely versatile species that
is virtually indistinguishable in appearance from its sister species, Pacific Coast Maple.

HICKORY. Hickory is regarded as America's hardest, heaviest and strongest species. As a result, it is used is applications
where durability is an important requirement. Hickory if often used for restaurant tables and in various domestic applications.
Perfect Plank Hickory is produced from full-length boards that are three to seven inches wide. It is available only
in the 1 7/8" thickness and in lengths up to 8 feet.

MAHOGANY. As environmental concerns about South American forests have increased, plantation-grown mahogany has emerged as a
popular (and less expensive) alternative. These trees were planted at various locations in the South Pacific after
World War Two and are being harvested on a sustained yield basis. Plantation mahogany has more color variance and
slightly different grain patterns than the South American-grown material. Finger-jointed in thicknesses of
1 3/8" and 1 7/8".

MAHOGANY WIDE-LAM. Mahogany wide-lam is constructed with full-length strips of plantation-grown mahogany. The strips are usually
3" to 5" wide and are free of finger-joints. Available in thicknesses of 1 3/8" and 1 3/4". Note: An
additional 10 to 15 days are often necessary to process wide-lam mahogany.

MIRVANA. In the search for substitutes for mahogany and other expensive hardwoods, one emerging alternative is Mirvana, an
affordable species imported from South East Asia. Mirvana is lighter in color and has a slightly different texture than
mahogany. It has been successfully used for restaurant tables and in other interior applications. Mirvana
is available in thicknesses from 1 3/8" to 3".

KNOTTY-PINE TABLE TOPS. Manufactured from Sugar Pine native to Oregon and Northern California. Laminations are 3.5" to
6" wide. Available in thicknesses of 1 3/8" and 1 3/4". Full-length strips (No finger-joints). Widths to 72". Lengths to 8
feet. May be special ordered in longer lengths. Appropriate for table tops and restaurant tables. Also used for
paneling and ceilings.

WESTERN RED CEDAR SIGN BLANKS. Standard butcher block format with 1.4" wide laminations. Available in following thicknesses: 1 5/16", 1 9/16",
1 11/16", 2 3/8", and 3". Widths to 72". Lengths to 16 feet. Appropriate for sand-blasted signs, wood-carved signs,
and routered signs. Also used for paneling and table tops on occasion.
